Lunch salon to feature Arctic research poster presentations
December 4, 2015
International Arctic Research Center scientists on Friday, Dec. 11, will preview their
upcoming poster presentations to the American Geophysical Union's fall meeting in
San Francisco.
Topics include declining sea ice extent, windblown snow formations, climate models
and disaster risk management. The IARC researchers will present their work between
noon and 1 p.m. in the Akasofu Building lobby. Those who wish to speak with researchers
in person should attend at that time, but the posters will be available for the rest
of the afternoon.
The presentations Friday are part of IARC's Research Salon, a series of mind-opening
intellectual discussions for the Fairbanks community.
The AGU fall meeting will be Dec. 14-18. The meeting is the largest Earth and space science meeting in
the world, with nearly 24,000 attendees expected this year.
