March museum programs explore music

Hands-on programs at the University of Alaska Museum of the North during the month of March will focus on music.

The Early Explorers program for families with children 5 and under will take place each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be no Early Explorers program on March 13. On Saturday, March 7, the Junior Curators program, which is open to children 6 and older, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. These activities are included with admission and are free for museum members.

This month, the museum will also host open Creativity Lab activities on Friday, March 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The activities will including painting, sculpting, drawing and other crafts, and are open to all ages. Supplies are included.
