Hands-on programs at the University of Alaska Museum of the North during the month of March will allow participants to learn about ravens.

At Family Day: Ravens on Saturday, March 2, from noon to 4 p.m., visitors can meet raven researchers, explore the importance of ravens in Alaska cultures and create raven artwork. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.

On Friday, March 15, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the museum will offer activities in the Creativity Lab for children of all ages. Activities will include painting, drawing, sculpting and other crafts.

The Early Explorers program for families with children 5 and under will take place each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. On Saturday, March 23, the Junior Curators program, which is open to children 6 and older, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. These activities are included with admission and are free for museum members.
