Meetings in the Pub are not inclusive

How does an advertisement in the Cornerstone asking for people to use the Pub for work events encourage a culture of inclusiveness? There are many recovering alcoholics on campus and encouraging departments to have work environments where alcohol is present is insensitive at best and potentially disruptive to people's careers where they might have to either not attend a work event or have to explain a personal concern to their supervisor. This "call" for work events at a bar goes in the face of our goals of increasing inclusiveness. We can do better.
