Mike Juell is the new esports coordinator at UAF. In this new role, Juell will work with the UAF Esports Club and others at UAF and in the Fairbanks community to bring UAF into the fast-growing world of esports.  The program will offer students ways to collaborate with their peers and the community in competitive and recreational gaming. The program and dedicated space will be housed in Wood Center.

Juell received his bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University and his master's in education from Lewis University.

He was most recently in Kodiak, where he taught middle school and advised and coached the high school esports team, which he created with the help of local students.
