Museum offers encaustic painting workshop

The University of Alaska Museum of the North is offering a workshop on encaustic painting with Fairbanks artist Katlian Stark, the Well Street Art Co.'s gallery assistant.

The adult workshop is from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 27 and Sept. 29 in the museum's Creativity Lab.

Participants will examine ways to use photographs, drawings and other objects embedded in wax. The cost is $90 for museum members and $100 for others. The fee covers instruction, materials and light refreshments.
