The University of Alaska Museum of the North will kick off the spring session of the ARTSci Teen Studio program on Saturday, Feb 23.

The monthly Saturday program runs from 2-4 p.m. Each month features a different theme. This month's theme will focus on replicas. From fossils to historical objects, participants can find out how and why replicas are made, explore how they are used in museums, and cast their own wax and plaster replicas.

Teen Studio is open to 13- to 18-year-olds and is free with museum admission and for museum members. Preregistration is required and teens can sign up for one event or the entire series. To register or for more information, visit bit.ly/uamnteenstudio or call 907-474-7505.
