The west door to the University of Alaska Museum of the North will be locked during the day. Due to the ongoing construction on Yukon Drive and other contributing factors, the museum must restrict access to the building to avoid losing revenue from visitors who fail to pay admission at the front desk.

The change is expected to occur within the next two weeks. A plan to update the infrastructure of the west entrance is underway. In the fall, cafe patrons with a PolarExpress card will be able to enter the museum Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The museum's main entrance, across from Troth Yeddha', will remain open and accessible to all visitors. Please continue to visit the Alaska Coffee Roasting Co. in the museum cafe and enjoy the lobby.
