Music students will join World Youth Wind Orchestra

Two music education students with the UAF Wind Symphony will participate in the World Youth Wind Orchestra this summer.

Theresa Van Hyning, a horn student of Jane Aspnes, and Inga Dye, a flute student of Dorli McWayne, will represent the UAF symphony July 12-18 at the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Conference in San Jose, California.

recordings of their solo works and were recommended by Karen Gustafson, associate professor in the Department of Music and conductor of the UAF Wind Symphony.
