UAF offers many summer camps with some flexibility this year.

Nanook Adventure Camp
The week-long Nanook Adventure camp for grade school kids ages 10 – 14 provides opportunities to gain experiences in climbing, hiking and canoeing. The camp takes place on the Fairbanks campus and will challenge participants both physically and mentally. Each student will learn lifelong skills in outdoor recreation. Each day is filled with different activities, including one day spent floating the Chena River through town.

The cost is $350 per week, and the camps run each week from June 3 - July 26. Students should bring their own lunches for all sessions that take place on campus. No cold storage or microwaves are available. All field days will have lunch provided for the students. Please make sure everything is marked. Send a snack as food and drinks will not be provided.

UAF Recreation Camp
More than 150 campers attended UAF Recreation camp last summer. Some campers were here every week, some every other week and others came once or twice. Each week is a different experience. Campers sit down every Monday morning, break into groups based on age and give input into that week's schedule. Most weeks include a trip to the Wood Center for bowling and swimming at the Patty Center. The SRC facilities are taken advantage of, and campers rock climb on the climbing wall, play tennis, basketball and dodgeball. The cost is $30 per half day or $60  for a full day. Discounts are offered for advanced payment.
