Graphic image with a Naook head and dates April 19 and May 1The last two weeks of the semester can be extremely stressful for students, staff and faculty as we prepare for finals and our end-of-the-semester obligations. It is not uncommon for many of our community members to feel anxious or uncertain during this time period.

To encourage and support our community during this time, the last two weeks of the semester (April 19 through May 1) will be Nanooks CARE Week. Nanooks CARE Week is a social norms campaign that focuses on encouragement and community while upholding the goals of Student CARE Team (connect, advocate, refer, educate).

This year, several offices will be decorating their locations with positive messaging. Parking Services will be working with the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities to hand out CARE packages. The Nanook Diversity and Action Center will be posting resources and positive messages to its social media accounts. If your department is interested in participating, contact CSRR at 474-7317 or uaf-studentrights@alaska.edu.
