Hopeful Connections, a support group for Alaska Native cancer survivors and their loved ones, will gather for a beading session on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hannah Solomon Building, 317 Wendell Avenue.

The group is making beaded pins to give away to survivors and caregivers at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event this June. No experience in beading is necessary.

Hopeful Connections will provide bagels, instruction, materials and beads.

The Fairbanks Native Association and the UAF Center for Alaska Native Health Research are the support group’s sponsors.
