New Aleutian sea star field guide available

Alaska Sea Grant has a new field guide featuring 63 species of colorful sea stars from the Aleutian Islands.

The book is the result of sea star collections and research by the authors during 840 scuba dives throughout the Aleutians. It includes the 19 species they discovered.

Biologists, divers and naturalists will find the guide useful and will be stunned by the beauty of the sea stars.

"Field Guide to Sea Stars of the Aleutian Islands," by Stephen C. Jewett, Roger N. Clark, Héloïse Chenelot, Shawn Harper and Max K. Hoberg, is available for $30 in paperback or $27 as a PDF download.
