New personal safety app available at UAF

The university is now offering students and employees a new way to help keep themselves
safe on campus. The Rave Guardian app, available at both the App Store and Google
Play, allows users to turn their smart phone into a personal safety device. In addition
to allowing quick access to campus safety resources and one-button 911 access, the
Guardian app includes a safety timer that allows users to designate friends or family
members to virtually walk them home.Downloading and installation is simple:
- Visit the App Store or Google Play.
- Search for Rave Guardian.
- Download, launch and follow the instructions from there.
