Continuing our countdown to the top moment from the past year, we now take a look at our No. 4 moment of 2012-13. Last March, the Alaska rifle team proved once again to be one of the premier programs in the country with a fourth-place overall finish at the NCAA Championship.

On day one, the Nanooks nearly won the smallbore team title but were edged by Texas Christian by a single point. Ryan Anderson, who was Alaska's Male Athlete of the Year, finished fourth individually in smallbore and turned in the highest score of any competitor in the individual final.

The second day proved to be a bit tougher as Alaska was sixth in air rifle to finish the two disciplines in fourth place for the 2013 championship. All five shooters earned All-America laurels for their performances.

Anderson was a First Team All-America selection in smallbore and Second Team in air rifle while Mike Liuzza was Second Team in smallbore and Honorable Mention in air rifle. Dustin Chesebro was Second Team in air rifle and Mats Eriksson was Honorable Mention in air gun while Cole Bures was Honorable Mention in smallbore.

Returning the bulk of their roster, the Nanooks are primed to make a run at the national title in 2014. The program has won 10 national championships in history, with the last coming 2008.

Tomorrow, we'll reveal our No. 3 moment of the 2012-13 season – STAY TUNED!
