Nontoxic odor near Rasmuson, Brooks

Pedestrians in the area between the Rasmuson Library and the Brooks Building on Thursday afternoon may smell an odor. Though unpleasant, it is not toxic. Work is being done on flooring in the mechanical room in the library, and Facilities Services opted to vent the smell outside rather than keeping it inside the building. Work is expected to begin at noon and be completed no later than Friday morning.

All departments in the affected areas have been notified.
