North Tanana closed between Toklat, Sheenjek

North Tanana Road will be closed between Toklat (Reichardt access) and Sheenjek (near
Murie) starting Thursday, Aug. 1, and until further notice. The State of Alaska Department
of Transportation and Public Facilities and UAF Facilities Services will be addressing
erosion along the slopes of the road. Heavy rain is forecast for the area, so workers
have determined it is prudent to close the road and begin mitigation work next week.Repairs are expected to be complete within two weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause in your commute around campus. North Tanana from Toklat to Farmers Loop will remain open. Yukon Drive or Tanana Loop will be the best routes to and from West Ridge.
