Special election will fill UAF Staff Council vice president position

On Dec. 5, UAF Staff Council will hold a special election to fill the office of vice president for the remainder of the 2016-2017 term.

Nominations may be emailed to uaf-staff-council@alaska.edu by Nov. 30. Nominations will also be accepted in person up to the time of the election at Staff Council Meeting #277, on Dec. 5, 2016.  The meeting will be held in the Wood Center ballroom beginning at 8:45 a.m. The meeting is open to the public.

• All nominations must be accepted by nominees by the close of nominations on Dec. 5 in order for a nominee's name to appear on the ballot.


• Nominees must be able to obtain their supervisor's approval in order to serve as vice president.


• All staff represented by UAF Staff Council are eligible to run for this office.


• Voting shall be limited to Staff Council Representatives or designated proxies.
