Chartwells will offer a German-themed lunch, a late-night breakfast, a do-it-yourself sushi event and a spooky cupcake decorating party in October.

Here are the details:

  • From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, customers can try a variety of flavors from Germany at Dine 49.  In G8, Chartwells will serve brats and sauerkraut, bratkartoffeln, and horseradish-roasted butternut squash and apples. The Kitchen will feature pretzels, sweet and sour cabbage, warm German potato salad, and pork schnitzel with jagger gravy. Crisp will introduce us to German white bean and pea salad with prosciutto and smoked provolone.

  • Be sure to bring your appetite to Late Nite Breakfast at Dine 49 between 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 16. Your favorite breakfast foods will be served — pancakes, bacon and eggs, waffles, cereals and hash browns.

  • Enjoy DIY sushi with Shasha at Sushi/Fuse in the Fairbanks Market from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 25. Several sessions will be held. You can choose between California, spicy or veggie roll. The cost is $7 and covers everything from the lesson to the food.

  • To celebrate the spookiest day of the year, Chartwells will hold a DIY Spooky Cupcake Event at Arctic Java during dinner on Halloween. There is no cost.  Chartwells will supply the tasty cupcakes and everything you will need to decorate them. The person with the scariest cupcake will win a Spooky Prize!
