The University of Alaska Museum of the North is exploring bones at its hands-on programs during the month of October.

Early Explorers, for children 5 and under, meets each Friday from 10 a.m.-noon. Junior Curators, for kids 6 and up, meets one Saturday per month. This month's meeting is Oct. 8, from 2-4 p.m. All programs are included with admission.

A new program debuting this month requires advance registration. Teen Studio, for ages 13 to 18, offers an opportunity to examine specimens and make cool stuff. Registration is available on the museum’s website at bit.ly/uamnhandson.
