Artwork created during the OneTree project at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will be exhibited at two First Friday openings April 1 from 5-8 p.m.

The Well Street Art Co. will host the professional show, with work from over 40 artists. All pieces were created from birch trees harvested on the Nenana Ridge in July 2009.

The student show will be at the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors’ Center. Students at 13 schools will display their work, which melds science and art.

Both exhibits will be on display throughout April.
