University Relations

The Nanook Diversity and Action Center is offering free suicide prevention trainings during the university's online transition.

NDAC can give a 90-minute webinar training during class times to students, or to groups of faculty or staff. This is a community-based training, and completion will certify participants as Gatekeepers, help folks understand the suicide epidemic in the state of Alaska, and give participants tools to recognize red flags, provide empathy and hope, and direct people to health and wellness resources.

Learn more about the training here. To schedule a training, please email Caitlin Cameron at cmbernard@alaska.edu.
