Orientation Leaders wanted
February 26, 2013
Carla Browning
The New Student Orientation office is currently recruiting Orientation Leaders for
the fall 2013 program, and would staff and faculty to help identify potential student
leaders. OLs dedicate a week of their time just before the beginning of classes (Aug.
29–Sept. 4) to welcome students to UAF. This involves, but is not limited to, helping
students move into the residence halls, giving campus tours, and answering questions
about university life. Students receive benefits including Bear Bucks, UAF affiliated
clothing, and fantastic experience in developing leadership and communication skills.
If you know students who may be interested in our program or would make great OLs,
please nominate them by submitting their name at
http://bit.ly/OL2013. The Orientation office will follow up with a personalized message giving more information
about the position and encouraging them to apply. Please submit any nominations by
Friday, March 8.
