$1,000 grants from UAFAA benefactor fund available to student groups
August 10, 2021
Student groups can apply for a grant of up to $1,000 from the UAF Alumni Association.
The funds will support projects that identify specific needs and improve campus opportunities
for current students. The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 10. If you are a student
or work with a student organization, you are invited to make a request through the
UAFAA Benefactor Fund Request Form.
The grants are available through the UAF Alumni Association. The UAFAA Benefactor Fund was established by the UAF Alumni Association in 1998 to encourage alumni to participate in an annual giving program that directly supports the university. It’s a way for alumni and supporters to work together to make an impact in the lives of today’s students.

Last year, UAFAA awarded more than $4,000 to UAF student organizations to help them adjust to a quickly changing landscape during the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds supported projects such as production of two campus literary publications, UAF’s undergraduate literary journal, Ice Box, and Permafrost Magazine, created by graduate students in the M.F.A. creative writing program for more than 40 years.
