Parking

Morale would be significantly improved if there was a way to improve parking. Such as special days when parking is more open to those with regular decals, especially when the shuttle is at limited hours. Most days during the summer, (or winter break), at least 75% of the parking at upper campus (lower Bunnell, south Eielson) is empty. It is discouraging when most of the hard working employees have regular decals either due to limited gold spots or the outrageous cost, are see all of the empty spots that they cannot use because they are either gold or two hour spots. Many regular employees find themselves stuck on campus during lunch breaks or other times in the day because the shuttle is not available during the day and they do not have the time or maybe the mobility to walk to their car in the Nenana parking lot or other blue decal lots on campus. If parking was made more available on even just Fridays it would significantly improve moral for so many of us that have to park so far away and walk past all of the empty spots on our way to serving the University.
