Peace advocate Arun Gandhi to speak at cyber conference

Peace advocate Arun Gandhi will be the keynote speaker during the ninth annual International Cyber Conference on Dispute Resolution at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The conference will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, in the UAF Wood Center ballroom.

Gandhi, the founder of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence and the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, will discuss the importance of education in promoting peaceful communities. Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to participate in the interactive discussion. The event is free and open to the public.

The conference is a global dialogue between students, indigenous peacemakers, academics and the public to continue building safer and healthier communities. The event is co-hosted by California State University, Dominguez Hills; Salisbury University; the Native American Rights Fund; and the University of Sao Paulo.
