Pesticide training offered in Anchorage

A training for certified pesticide applicators will be offered March 13 at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The Alaska Certified Pesticide Applicator Workshop will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gorsuch Commons, 3700 Sharon Gagnon Lane. Presentations will cover rodent and insect control, landscape and turf management, integrated pest management, tree and shrub care, innovations in pest control, regulation updates and record keeping.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will host the training with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Participants will receive eight continuing education units from DEC and up to 5.5 credits from the International Society of Arboriculture.
