Celebrate the opening of the UAF Planet Walk from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, with an out-of-this-world stroll! The event is family-friendly and free.

Take the Planet Walk (about one mile) with UAF’s own space experts. View the sun safely through solar telescopes and witness a rover robot in action. Kids can win stellar prizes by completing a planetary fact scavenger hunt and make planetary kids crafts too.

Walk, ride bikes, push strollers and enjoy this educational and fun event! Park for free on weekends at UAF, and meet at the west end of Yukon Drive near the overlook parking lot.

The UA Museum of the North will also be holding its Family Day: Animals in Art from noon-4 p.m., so this is a fun afternoon of activities on upper campus.
