Be prepared for earthquakes
October 21, 2014
Monday's earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.0 and was centered 44 miles northwest
of Fairbanks. The earthquake was felt across UAF, though no damage or injuries were
reported.
The quake served as a reminder to review what to do when an earthquake occurs. Remember
to "drop, cover and hold." Drop under something substantial, such as a desk or table.
Cover your head and body with something. Hold on tight.
