Press registration is now open for the One Health, One Future international meeting,
scheduled for March 11-14, 2020, at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
The meeting, hosted in partnership with the U.S. Department of State, is expected
to be the largest circumpolar One Health conference in the U.S. in 2020.
One Health is a research and policy perspective that recognizes that human, environmental
and animal health are interconnected. The One Health, One Future meeting will offer
journalists access to sessions and experts from across the circumpolar North.
Sessions and panel discussions will cover topics such as antimicrobial resistance
and zoonotic diseases, mental health, food safety and security, bridging indigenous
and scientific knowledge, climate change and One Health, education and communication,
the Arctic Council’s role in One Health, chronic disease and contaminants, and policy
and data management. Nobel Peace Prize nominee Sheila Watt-Cloutier will give the
keynote address.
