Proposal development workshop flyerProfessionals from The Implementation Group will give a workshop on general proposal development Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m.-noon in Elvey 215 (the Globe Room).

Participants can discuss, ask questions and hear about proposal development, including:

  • How to position your research:

    1. How to define viable research questions?

    2. How to target appropriate funding sources?





  • What to consider prior to proposal development:

    1. What needs to be considered prior to proposal development (i.e., How to build a winning team? How much preliminary research is necessary?)





  • How to engage with program officers:

    1. How to use program managers to greatest advantage?

    2. How to market the proposal prior to submission?





  • A winning proposal

  • Examples that can be addressed:

    1. NSF – MRI, CNHS, EPSCoR RII Track-4, NRT, Midscale Research, INCLUDES and S-STEM

    2. NIH R01
