Provost names new dean of grad school

Provost Susan Henrichs announced that Ramesh Kanwar has accepted the position of dean
of the Graduate School and associate vice chancellor for academic affairs. Kanwar will begin his new position
Jan. 4, 2012. He is currently a distinguished professor and department chair of Agricultural
and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University. A profile of Ramesh Kanwar is

Larry Duffy will continue to serve as interim dean until Kanwar arrives.
