Public lecture: Socio-ecological effects of oil and gas development in the Arctic

Donald A. "Skip" Walker, UAF professor of biology and director of the
Geobotany Center, will present "Socio-ecological effects of oil and gas development in the Arctic"
at the American Center in Prague, Czech Republic. His April 21 lecture will be presented
as part of the Fulbright Distinguished Lecture Series, celebrating the 20th anniversary
of the Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic. The event will also commemorate
Earth Day, which falls on April 22. Walker is a Fulbright Scholar at Masaryk University,
Brno, Czech Republic.
