The Rasmuson Library Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives department has reopened in its newly renovated space on level 2. The area required extensive work after a flood in 2017.

Assistant archivists Becky Butler and Rose Speranza are still settling in but are available to help researchers. Research visits can be arranged by calling 474-2791 or emailing UAF-APR-reference-Service@alaska.edu.

"We appreciate all the concern and support our research community has shown over the closure period, and we think you'll be pleased when you see the spruced-up research room," said Karen Jensen, director of libraries.

The library will host an open house in October 2019, during National Archives Month. To get updates about the archives and other library services or collections, visit the library website or follow the Rasumson on Facebook.

For more information, please contact Karen Jensen at 474-6695 or kljensen@alaska.edu.
