Reindeer rancher makes five-year commitment to UAF's reindeer research

Reindeer rancher Ron Disher of Waterville, Ohio, donated $5,000 to UAF's Reindeer Research Programs, the start of a five-year commitment to the program. Disher also challenged members of the Reindeer Owners and Breeders Association to donate to RRP and will match their contributions. The RRP is dedicated to the development and promotion of the reindeer industry in Alaska with research focused on meat science, range management, nutrition and animal health.
