Salon to discuss scientific research and communication

The International Arctic Research Center will host a research salon to discuss scientific
research and communication from noon to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in Akasofu Building
501.
The panelists will be Brendan Kelly, John Walsh and Lily Cohen with IARC.
The presenters will discuss key ideas and lessons learned from the intersection of
science and policy, and science communication with the media and the public.
The salon will start with presentations by the panelists, followed by collaborative
discussion between the panel and the audience. Coffee and tea will be served. Attendees
are welcome to bring a quiet lunch.
IARC Research Salons are mind-opening intellectual discussions and community-building
interactions moderated by an inspiring IARC member or a visiting scholar.
