Martha Raynolds, a board member of the Interior Alaska Land Trust, will talk during the Resource Management Society meeting Wednesday, Oct. 1., about efforts to restore water flow and fish habitat in Cripple Creek's old channel.

The Resource Management Society is a University of Alaska Fairbanks student club. Much of the Fairbanks campus, including Smith Lake and Happy Creek, drains into Cripple Creek.

Raynolds will describe the history of Cripple Creek, the land trust's role in restoring the stream and opportunities for student involvement. The trust is working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities on the project.

The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. in O'Neill Building, Room 359. Contact uaf.rms@gmail.com for more information. Everyone is welcome.
