Salon will review political climate and climate politics

Panelists will assess the Trump administration’s U.S. environmental and climate policies and offer predictions about the Biden presidency during the International Arctic Research Center's first virtual salon of the academic year.

“Political Climate & Climate Politics: A Four-Year Forecast" will start at 2 p.m., Nov. 19.

Experts Stephen Gray, Amy Lovecraft and Philip Wight will offer insights on issues ranging from a green economic plan and grassroots environmental movements to Alaska-specific impacts and the Paris climate accord.

The event will begin with short 10-minute talks by each panelist. A question-and-answer period will follow.

Ph.D. students Nicholas Parlato and Cece Borries-Strigle will host the event.
