November 18, 2014
Hansen's results show that bacteria probably reduce the hatching rate. She also described a potentially novel bacterial species in the Neisseria genus. The talk will also focus on efforts to identify the Neisseria species and locate the source of another commonly isolated bacterium, Streptococcus uberis.
The work was part of Hansen's PhD dissertation, which she recently defended. The seminar is part of the One Health seminar series hosted by the Department of Veterinary Medicine.
The seminar will be on Monday, Nov. 24, at 4:30 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium. There will be cookies.
