Seminar: Land surface modeling and wildland fire

The Alaska Fire Science Consortium will host Clay Blankenship for a seminar about potential NASA products or visualizations useful to the wildland fire community. Blankenship is a researcher with NASA-SPoRT who is working on developing the NASA land information system Alaska domain.

The seminar, "Land Surface Modeling and Assimilation of SMAP Soil Moisture," will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in Akasofu 401. For more information, contact Heather McFarland, IARC communication lead, at hrmcfarland@alaska.edu.
