The UAF Geophysical Institute held its annual awards banquet on Friday, Feb. 26, at the GI's home in the Elvey Building, with a reception following in the Mather Library. Director Bob McCoy presented the following awards for 2015:
- Erin Albertson, Outstanding Staff Performance Award
- Jay R. Byam, Outstanding Student Performance Award
- Dale Pomraning, Community Service Award
- Ed Bueler and Taryn Lopez, Best Faculty Paper Awards
- Anna Worden and Christian Kienholz, Best Student Paper Awards
- David Fee, T.K. Moore Prize
- Neal Brown, Roger Smith Lifetime Achievement Award
