Guest speaker Ana Hoffman will discuss "Finding Value at Home" during the next Shine a Light presentation Monday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom Please register in advance.

Anastasia Cooke Hoffman has served as the co-chair of the Alaska Federation of Natives since 2013. She lives in Bethel and has worked for Bethel Native Corp. as the president and CEO since 2006.

A shareholder since 1997, Hoffman sees how the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act  provide tools for Alaska Native people to define their own paths to progress. She shares about her involvement with the Bethel village corporation and leadership roles she has held within the AFN. Join the discussion to explore ways to contribute to the success and progress of your home community.

Sessions for Shine A Light: Promoting Conversation on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion seek to encourage understanding, build empathy and engage everyone in thinking critically about worldviews. The sessions take place the last Monday of every month with a new speaker and topic.

Shine a Light is hosted by the Northwest Campus, Nanook Diversity and Action Center, and Department of Equity and Compliance.
