Six members of the Alaska Nanooks hockey team were recently recognized for their academic success by the American Hockey Coaches Association. The team members were selected for the 2018-2019 Krampade All-American Scholars list. Max Newton is the only repeat selection, while Brennan Blaszczak, Caleb Hite, Nikolas Koberstein, Jordan Muzzillo and Tony Rehm earned their first recognitions.

To be eligible for the selection, a student-athlete must have a 3.6 GPA each semester and participate in 40% of the school’s games. Of the 10 teams in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s men’s league, the Nanooks accounted for six of 66 selections.
