Sotomayor highlights final week of Summer Sessions events

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is wrapping up
its summer series of free lectures, concerts and other events this week. Here is what’s
happening during the week of Aug. 13-19:
• On Sunday, Aug. 14, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will speak at a free
public event, “A conversation with Justice Sonia Sotomayor.” She was appointed to
the Supreme Court in 2009 and is the first Hispanic U.S. Supreme Court justice. The
event will be at 4 p.m. at the Davis Concert Hall.
• On Tuesday, Aug. 16, the Healthy Living lecture series will conclude with Sanya
Krenzelok, of Life Center Northwest, discussing “Saving and healing lives through
organ donation.” The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
