South Eielson entrance to close this Friday

The south entrance to the Eielson Building will be closed starting Friday, May 17,
until Monday, July 1. Access to Eielson will be through the north entrance (between
Eielson and Gruening) or through Signers' Hall.Salcha Street will remain open Monday through Friday but go down to one lane for weekend work. Signs will direct traffic into the South Eielson lot so that westbound vehicles may use the open lane.
The construction work will replace the stairs, ramps and landing on the south side of Eielson. When completed, the new concrete will feature some seat walls, one ramp to the east (toward Signers' Hall and the Bunnell Building), and new stairs leading to the south Eielson parking lot. The ramp to the west is being eliminated because of the steep grade. Accessible parking will not be affected by this project.
As construction progresses, updates will be sent to the affected buildings.
