During UAF’s first blood drive last spring, 107 people gave blood, resulting in 77 units collected, which potentially saved 231 Alaska lives. When UAF held its second blood drive this past fall, 99 people gave blood, resulting in 85 units collected, potentially saving another 255 Alaskan lives! In total, the UAF blood drives have collected 162 units of blood to date. UAF has become a consistent and reliable blood drive. The impact UAF donors have made in Alaska is greatly appreciated by the Alaska Blood Bank and by the patients whose lives were saved with these donations.

How many more lives can we save this spring? Add the dates and locations to your calendars, and let’s find out! You can download a flyer here. For more information, call Carrie Santoro at 474-6080.
