SRC closure extended through Jan. 11

The floor replacement project at the Student Recreation Center is nearly complete, but a small delay means staff must delay the reopening until Saturday, Jan. 12. The one-day postponement allows workers to move equipment back into the gym without damaging the newly dried paint.

Contractors worked throughout the winter break, including on Christmas.

"They are literally running around the building doing finishing touches," said Mark Oldmixon, director of Nanook Recreation, which oversees the SRC.
