Staff and faculty awards

Staff members with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 years of uninterrupted service
as of Dec. 31, 2010 were honored at the Staff Appreciation Day Longevity Award ceremony
May 19, 2011.
The service calculation is based on uninterrupted years of service in a benefit-eligible
position; some employees have more total years of service to the university than is
listed. The lists are included below.
The Chancellor's Cornerstone Award was presented to Scarlett Hopkins, Center for Alaska
Native Health Research; Larry Duffy, interim dean of the graduate school received
the diversity award; Heidi Simmons, Kuskokwim Campus, received the Margaret Peggy
Wood Award; and Juella Sparks received the Staff Council Award.
