Staff Council officer elections

The UAF Staff Council elects a president and vice president each year. Officers for the 2019-2020 term will be elected during the Staff Council meeting Tuesday, May 14. Officers are selected from Staff Council representatives, may be nominated by voting Staff Council representatives at any time up to the start of voting at the May 14 Staff Council meeting, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Staff are encouraged to contact their representative to share their opinion about potential officers.

UAF is dedicated to leadership though shared governance, and the elected officers play a vital role. Core responsibilities of officers include organizing meetings and activities for the council, collaborating with other governance groups, creating committees to address the concerns of staff and executives, and communicating the reports and resolutions of the council to executive leadership.
