An intern-startup mixer will be held Saturday, April 13, from 3-5 p.m. in ELIF 424. The Alaska Center for Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship, or Center ICE, is launching a new, paid-internship program called Student2Startups, where students will get a chance to work directly with an array of startups in Alaska.

Representatives from startups will pitch what they are working on from fields such as biomedical technology, software and engineering sciences, financial research, and creative products. Interns are paid by the university. The program is open to students at any campus across the University of Alaska system. This is your chance to learn more about the world of startups and innovation!

Register online to be considered for an internship.

Internship work includes:
1) Business and finance
2) Communication and marketing
3) Engineers
4) Researchers
5) Digital media

The Student2Startups program gives priority to internships with university-linked startups or those with strong Alaska ties, although all startups are welcome. Email Nigel Sharp at Nigel.Sharp@alaska.edu for details and requirements.
